The Construction Suite · Class 2 & Multi-storey
Gridstone is the construction suite for Class 2 and multi-storey jobs — take-off now, compliance to follow. Every quantity is tied to the drawing it came from. Where the drawings don’t say, you get a question. Never a guess.
What Gridstone Is
Gridstone is the construction suite for Class 2 and multi-storey jobs — the big ones, where the take-off is large and the compliance is heavy. Every Flo engine is built under the Gridstone mark as part of the suite. Like the keystone in an arch, Gridstone goes in last and holds the rest together.
One engine per trade, each sold and run on its own, all under the Gridstone mark. Run more than one and the drawings are still read once, with one owner for every quantity — nothing counted twice.
Class 2 is where a take-off gets big and a missed sheet gets expensive: transfer slabs, cores, walls and floor after floor. That is the end of the market Gridstone is built for.
For Class 2 and above: the documents, declarations, approvals and hold points a job has to clear, tracked from feasibility to occupation. Released when it is proven on live jobs, not before. It will track and flag — it will never certify.
First in the Suite
Form it. Reo it. Place it. Four Flo engines for the structure trade — formwork, reinforcement, concrete and structural walls — built under the Gridstone mark and working off one read of your drawings.
How We Work
A take-off is only as good as what it refuses to assume. Everything in the suite works to the same four rules.
An honest “not shown — please confirm” costs a phone call. A confident wrong number costs a job. Where the drawings are silent or disagree, you get a written question naming the sheet.
What your documents say wins. Where they’re silent, the Australian Standard. Where both are silent, we ask you. In that order, every time.
Every sheet is read and every schedule worked through before anything is called an allowance. An allowance is a last resort, not a shortcut.
Your engineer designs and your certifier certifies. We measure what they have documented — and tell you plainly where it is incomplete.
“I would rather flag it than give you the wrong information. We are here to aid builders — not to be an authority.”

Who We Are
Co-founder · Builder
Thirty years on the tools and on the drawings. Nathan writes the rules every engine works to — how a real set is read, what a builder needs from it, and where the risk sits on a job.
Co-founder · Director
Peta leads the company as director — its direction, its brand and its people.
Structural set, current revision, PDF is fine. We will come back with the scope we can measure, anything we need answered, and a price before we start.
